Hehe – So courtesy Andrew Sullivan I found Blogging The Bible, a project by David Plotz at Slate.com to actually read the book on which his religion (he’s Jewish) is based. Intriguing concept. But really … how much do we know?

We know what we think we know. And we “know” what we want to know, and we know what we want the Bible to say and therefore put into it, but do we really know what it says? Literalist Fundies take note – God doesn’t like body hair, hokus pokus + holy water detects infidelity, dolphin skin – widely available in the desert – was used to carry the Tabernacle, and that’s just in the beginning of Numbers.
